BA (Hons) Psychology,MSc (Hons) Psychotherapy
Denise Brett holds an honours degree (BA) in Psychology and an honours Master of Science degree (MSc) in Clinical Psychotherapy, both from UCD. She trained at the School of Psychotherapy in the Department of Medicine and Medical Science at St.Vincent's University Hospital, Elm Park, Dublin 4.
Denise has also participated in a two years post-masters clinical training organised by the Association for Psychoanalysis & Psychotherapy in Ireland (APPI). She has also trained in Child Psychoanalysis with a group supervised by Parisian Analysts. She has trained in Person Centred Therapy, Social and Vocational Rehabilitation and holds an advanced Diploma in Hypnotherapy.
Denise has completed 7 years as a full-time student at UCD. She has lectured in Psychology at the American College Dublin, Tutored in Psychology at UCD and worked for NTDI as a career facilitator. Denise co-founded the Beaufield Centre in 2002 and has been in private practice for 10 years.
Denise works with both Adults & Children; she is committed to ongoing training including regular attendance at seminars and presentation of papers at International Conferences.
She is a member of the Association for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy in Ireland.
